V spa @ the Vincent

Weekends are made for wearing bath robes, gossip with your girlies and drinking bubbles and that's exactly what we did on Saturday at the V spa located in the very lush Vincent Hotel, Southport.

As you exit the lift on the top floor you are greeted by this happy chap before entering the swanky sanctuary.

Once we were stripped and snuggled in a robe we were shown to the relaxation room which was to be our private rendezvous point for the day. In between treatments and Prosecco we spent most of the day sprawled out on the amazing day beds, comparing treatments, laughing at old times, looking forward to new times (especially as a certain lady is about to have her first baby!) and generally doing our best not to be the first to start crying about me leaving the country next month!

First up I opted for the back massage and oh boy did I need it! The amount of knots I felt being muscled out by the therapist was crazy! My second choice was the mini facial; a heavenly 30 minutes of oils, lotions and potions being smothered on my face whilst enjoying (a very good may I add) head massage.

Lunch arrived after every one had had their first treatment and I was super impressed by the yumminess of it all. My favourite dish was the spinach soup and the Welsh rarebit was amazingly good.

But alas, our pamper day had to come to an end and after a swift G&T in the Tony McGee bar we said our farewells and this vogue mama floated off home….

*We took advantage of the pamper package offer at £75 each. You could choose two of the following treatments: mini facial, mini mani or mini pedi, back massage, oriental scalp face and shoulder massage and lunch and a cocktail was included. This post and my views are my own and have not been endorsed by the Vincent hotel.
