putting things in perspective

Wow I really have been losing track of the time, we've been in Perth for seven weeks (it feels like days!) and we are still waiting for our 'dream' to finally kick into place, but yesterday everything fell into perspective.

Ralph woke in the middle of the night with a raging fever. We spent the best part of the next 12 hours trying to bring his temperature down, soothing him as he drifted between sleep and a sobbing consciousness. For the first time in a long time I didn't care about anything else other than helping Ralph feel better. It really did make me realise that I have so much more than I thought and it's the here and now we should be focusing on and loving, the rest will fall into place.
