breakfast at Gordon St Garage

Long weekends (it was WA day on Monday) are made for long breakfasts with pancakes. Big fluffy pancakes….

It was one of those weekends where we didn't really make any concrete plans other than going to see Rufus at the Fremantle Arts Centre on Saturday night (which very nearly didn't happen due to a mild case of self inflicted food poisoning….) so when our super friend and chief babysitter, Makeila suggested brunch on Sunday we didn't need asking twice!

Even though it was only 9:30am when we arrived Gordon St Garage was already full of folks, friends and merry Sunday chit chat and just check out those pancakes…

All that salted caramel. And banana. And nuts. And mascarpone. Oh my heaven on a plate (and Makeila's too!)

Washed down with a delicious cup of coffee that came with a bit of info about the bean on the side-very informative!

Big D was also very impressed with his ham and cheese toastie.

I wish I could tell you more about it but it was gone before I could have a nibble! But he was totally blown away by it!

We all left with very happy full tummies indeed.

Inbetween going for walks, dancing under the stars, park play time at the beach, making animal noises a million times over during story time and winter Pyjama shopping there has been a crazy big shift in Big D and Ralph's relationship. Over the weekend it was Big D Ralph snuggled into when he was tired or Big D's hand he would grab if he wanted company on his adventures to the garden or play areas. It's been so beautiful to see my dudes develop their bond with each other.

Enjoy the rest of your week friends.
