bye summer

Autumn, hello. I wish I could welcome you with your cooler mornings, shorter (ish) days and the looming thought of wearing warmer layers again with more gusto but I just can’t. Its official, I’m well and truly a summer girl, happiest in flowing frocks, morning swims chasing the waves, salty hair and ending the day with sandy toes watching the glorious sun set over the Indian Ocean. I haved loved this Summer so much (and have got so used to crazy hot days I now think anything under 30 degrees is slightly chilly!!!!)

This little city of ours really does come alive during the Summer months with beautiful markets such as Salt in Scarborough (it was so gorgeous I can’t wait for the next one), surfers on masse hitting the beaches every afternoon, happy smiley souls everywhere you go, the Fringe festival, twilight plays at the park, fireworks and a general feeling of wishing summer would last forever. All our summer memories have melted into a big old happy memory of adventures, water parks, too many ice creams to count, friends and beaches…always lots of beaches!

Here are some of my favourite moments that have made our third summer here so joyous!

ps: there is a lot of pics so I would suggest you have a cuppa in your hand (or a glass of wine depending on your time zone!)

^^^i just love this picture^^^

^^^early morning walks leaving our prints ^^^

^^^there is something about water squirting out of the ground that keeps Ralph amused for HOURS!^^^

^^^this is the face of a mesmerised boy whilst at the open air WASO concert. It was so fun to see him jumping and dancing and then have intense periods of just standing still and watching the orchestra ^^^

^^^Oh Denmark, how we loved your elephant rocks and clear waters!^^^

IMG_0023^^^The Australia Day fireworks.  Ralph is still talking about them now!^^^

^^^Ralph and his sweet friends! but on another note: a clever use for glowsticks means you don’t lose the littles in the dark: credit goes to genius mummy Mel 😉^^^

^^^this dude in his summer get up. it just makes me smile sooooooo much.  ps he applied his own green zinc that day. ^^^^

^^^Big D and I.  Is it just us but looking thorugh our camera rolls its always full of our little man?!  Take more pics of the parents I say!!^^^

^^^So much fun at the Fringe Festival.  Turns out it is more family friendly than I realised (but all the mega shows were not…..)

^^^happy smiley dudes^^^

^^^this may not look like the best photo but it was taken after Ralph has figured out how to find his way to the top of a mega climbing frame- he was super happy! Go Ralph!  Trying to get him down was a different matter….^^^

^^^having the water park practically all to ourselves mid week=FIFO life win!^^^

^^^still keeping it cool even though it looks like I murdered him with tomato ketchup^^^

^^^realising that Summer is over….^^^

In my opinion, if many web masters and bloggers constructed fine written content materials you probably did, the net will most likely be way more effective than everbefore.I am going to book mark this site !! Will really read through once again !! Thanks to your helpful info.
